Development of a simulator for multivariable process dynamic model parameters identification and its application in paper-making process

Abstract

It is necessary to use the model predictive controller in multivariable paper-making process which enables the process model and its parameters to be identified in unimpaired producing process. A Process model identification simulator was developed and designed via sequential modular approach. The case test showed the simulator can be used for simulating and identifying the model and its parameters of complicated paper-making process with larger lag and multivariable coupling. It will be a useful tool for designing the model predictive controller used in paper-making process.
