摘要
Outdoor sports or combat missions, such as jungle adventures or counter-piracy operations, often involve bleeding and infected wounds. Due to the poor and limited medical conditions in these outdoor situations, patients prefer an easy way to simultaneously treat blood loss and wound infection by using the same outdoor device and the same material. In this study, a portable electrospinning device (150 g in weight) for outdoor use was developed, and CuS composite nanofibers could be green-synthesized by this portable electrospinning device. These CuS composite nanofibers can be deposited in situ onto the wound to simultaneously achieve rapid hemostasis outdoors and ablate superbacteria without requiring the use of other materials or devices. These in situ electrospun nanofibers possess better compactness on the rough wound surface than conventional nanofiber mats pressed onto the wound site. Thus, the nanofiber not only accelerates the hemostasis (<6 s) but also shortens the healing time of the wound with superbacterial infection (18 days). These bifunctional nanofibers combined with a portable electrospinning device for outdoor rapid hemostasis and simultaneous superbug ablation could notably benefit the outdoor first aid.
