摘要
Unlike heterogeneous assays that need separation steps to obtain target-dependent signal, homogeneous assays can detect target molecules without tedious separation steps by using specialized reporters. In this chapter, principles to realize homogeneous detection and their applications to biosensing are reviewed. Especially, examples in immunosensing are introduced to realize rapid and handy detection of small molecule antigens in a noncompetitive and sensitive manner.
